Erica Takebayashi

Pilates Instructor and
Remedial Massage Therapist

Oh hey, I'm Erica!

I am beyond excited to introduce myself as the founder and Pilates and Low Pressure Fitness instructor at our amazing wellness collective! Get ready for a little peek into my journey and how it brought me to create this beautiful space just for YOU to flourish and shine.

Like many of you, I spent years on a quest, exploring all sorts of exercise methods, desperately searching for that perfect fit. Yoga, Body Pump, Bootcamp, even Martial Arts—I gave them all a whirl. But let me tell you, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shake that nagging feeling that something was missing. Can you relate?

I was constantly second-guessing myself, wondering if I was nailing those moves and struggling to find that core strength I craved. But then, my friends, I stumbled upon the magic of Pilates and Low Pressure Fitness, and BOOM! It was like the stars aligned! Finally, everything fell into place, and it was like I found the missing puzzle piece to my fitness journey.

And now, I am on a mission! A mission to share the incredible, life-changing power of Pilates and Low Pressure Fitness with ALL of you. It's not just about getting that picture-perfect posture, rocking those pelvic floor and core muscles, and showing off your newfound flexibility (although that's pretty darn awesome too!). It's about building a community, a support system that uplifts and empowers you on your fitness journey.

At Reflexions Pilates Studio, it's all about YOU. Each session is thoughtfully crafted to meet you right where you are on your wellness path. Oh, and guess what? I totally understand the challenges of being hypermobile, which is why I'm all about customizing exercises to suit your unique body and needs.

Here's the deal: Pilates and Low Pressure Fitness can truly transform not only your physical health but also your entire life! Yes, you heard that right! Together, we'll work on your posture, strength, and flexibility in the most supportive and nurturing environment you can imagine.

Dr Ilona McGavock

Osteopath

6.png

Hi, I'm Ilona!

I am a well-established osteopath practising in Perth and Fremantle since 2000. I have also been teaching qigong and yoga in WA since 2014.

I have always been fascinated with health and well-being, commencing the practice of yoga at the age of 21 and exploring different areas of holistic health till discovering osteopathy at the age of 34. Understanding the need for a thorough grounding in the western medical sciences, I studied and graduated with a Bachelor (1996) and Masters Degree in Osteopathy in 1998 from Victoria University and have been a registered, practising osteopath since 1999.

Osteopathy is governed by the principles of holism and self-regulation and has been shown to improve nerve and blood supply to the muscles and joints of the body. As a practitioner and as a teacher, I aim to create a unique environment for each person to enhance their self-healing potential.

I practise in Fremantle on Mondays and Wednesdays and in Bicton on Fridays and Saturdays.

When I am not practising or teaching, I can be found at the beach, playing violin in a community orchestra or with my folk band, The Dog Ate my Garland.

Hi, I'm Sam!

I'm excited to share that I bring over a decade of clinical physiotherapy experience to the Reflexions Wellness Collective in Bicton. I've been actively contributing to the health and well-being of the Fremantle community for more than 10 years, having worked in various capacities in the area.

For the past 9 years, I've been deeply involved in semi-professional and professional sports, with a substantial part of that time dedicated to working closely with the South Fremantle Football Club. In the last 3 seasons, I proudly served as a physiotherapist for the A-League Mens Perth Glory team, a role that has enriched my understanding and skills in the field.

One of the highlights of my career was the privilege of being the Head Physiotherapist during the 2020 WAFL season, where South Fremantle clinched the WAFL League Premiership—an achievement that holds a special place in my professional journey.

My passion lies in assisting clients in achieving their exercise goals, whether it involves making a comeback to the sporting arena or simply maintaining a physically active lifestyle. I have a keen interest in addressing neck and low back pain, along with expertise in post-operative rehabilitation and managing soft tissue injuries in the lower limbs.

The services I offer at Reflexions Wellness Collective include:

  • Physiotherapy

  • Post-Operative Rehabilitation

  • Chronic Pain Management

  • Musculoskeletal Screening/Injury Risk Reduction Programs

  • Work Screenings

  • EPC/DVA/Workers Comp/Motor Vehicle Referrals all accepted

  • Dry Needling

I look forward to applying my wealth of experience and expertise to contribute to the health and well-being of individuals within the Bicton community. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or aiming to optimize your physical performance, I'm here to support you on your wellness journey.
